OpenOffice.org for Mac OS X uses the Mac OS X DMG disk image format.
Install
Download OpenOffice.org (X11) for Mac OS X. Currently we provide separate builds for PPC and Intel based Macs in some languages. There is no Universal Binary available at this time. We have not yet released a preview build of our latest Aqua development.

- The last OpenOffice version supporting Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), 10.5 (Leopard), 10.6 (Snow Leopard) is OpenOffice 4.0.1. Hardware Requirements ¶ CPU: Intel Processor.
To install OpenOffice.org locally or over a network:
- Locate the disk image file and open it.
- Drag and drop the icon from within the disk image to a location on the local drive or a location on the network.
- Enter the administrator password when you are prompted for it.
Command line install
You can install OpenOffice.org from the command line on Mac OS X.
In a terminal window, type:
Uninstall
To uninstall OpenOffice.org, drag the icon for the OpenOffice.org application to the Trash.
Remove the user profile for OpenOffice.org
Download windows 8.1 mac bootcamp. To remove the user profile for OpenOffice.org:
- Go to the user's home directory.
- Select Library > Application Support.
- Move the OpenOffice.org directory to the Trash.

These builds are still the official Mac builds, however many are development builds, or have not been tested yet.

Go to the Development build FTP server
It is recommended that you use a Mozilla based web browser, or a dedicated FTP client, such as Cyberduck for downloading, as there can be problems with Safari and the Finder, especially on Mac OS X 10.3.
